20 Years of Nintendo Power
A new "Collector's Special" is out at newsstands entitled. 20 Years of Nintendo Power: A history of Nintendo through the pages of the official magazine. People are already throwing around rare and limited edition with this 68 page glossy special. A bit short for the money but it isn't full of ads and has some fresh writing in it, not rewarmed Nintendo Power copy. If you can find it in stores its retailing for just under 10 bucks. I looked on ebay and one was up there at 30 bucks plus shipping with some time left. Considering the lousy economic picture lately maybe this collectors special is worth investing in.

Sega Radica 6in1
Another Plug n' play console revisit is the Sega Genesis Radica, this ones a little different because most of the components sit in a miniature genesis system. Amazon thinks its takes batteries but the ebay auction lists it as having AC power. Maybe it has both.
The one currently on ebay looks to be in pretty good shape, with some tag residue on the controller. The Sega Genesis Radica has been released in several different versions. Including a streetfighter one.
The games that are included version shown are:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
The Ooze
Gain Ground
Ecco the Dolphin
Columns
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle

Most of us can recall scoring a great deal at some garage sale or flea market, some game you've been looking for or a complete console with games in some dusty old box for five bucks. I recently got a hold of a SNES2 with both controllers and a few games, a 3DO with controllers and some misc. cords for $10 at a garage sale. What was amusing was the kids were arguing with the mother about how much to price it for. They wanted 50 bucks for it but the mother didn't believe it was worth that much.
This blogger recounts making extra cash in Sydney by buying old games and reselling them on ebay.
Usually the (predominantly Atari 2600) games I was buying for a dollar or two would sell for $5-10 each, but some overseas buyers liked the uniquely (but common) Australian cartridges from veteran distributor Home Entertainment Suppliers and would pay even more, while particularly rare, pirate or prototype cartridges could attract a motza.
If your looking to pick up a RCA Studio II game system this might be one to look at. Includes the box and the game Black Jack along with the 5 built in games.
