FuncoLand Employee Training Video’s

FuncoLand employee training video from 1998. Funco Land was a game store that sold new/used video games and accessories. At a later point FuncoLand was bought up by Gamestop.

These video's highlight the FuncoLand 5-step G.A.M.E.S selling process. Greet, Advise, More Information, Encourage add on sales & Say goodbye and thanks for coming in. We follow Adam, a new employee, as he discovers these valuable selling techniques. The 2nd video also as a funny part where we learn that its recommended to clean your game cart after each playing session. (more...)

Steampunk Game Boy

Here's a skin deep mod for an original gameboy completed with a Pro Sound Mod audio output. I like the pitted look around the screen and the various flexible piping. I have considered making a wood case gameboy in the past with steel bands like some kind of oddly shaped barrel; perhaps I should.

Mr. Gimmick NES Game

Mr. Gimmick is a Famicom game by Sunsoft; released only in Japan and Scandinavia. Recently 1up blog retronauts featured a four part utube video on the rare game. An interesting side scroller you might want to look around for on the internet even if it's just to play it on an emulator. Although you might miss out on the music that a special sound chip on the original cartridge was able to deliver.
