The Vectrex is an 8-bit video game console that was released in 1982. It had its own monitor, so finally Mom and Dad could fear the Russians on the evening news in peace while you pretended to be a space ship, a vacuum cleaner, or even more unlikely, someone racing in the Tour de France. CGE stopped making Vectrex units in 1984.

Alex Nicholson is a retro programmer from the United Kingdom and has released Logo for the Vectrex…in 2006! Alex’s release includes a physical cartridge, an overlay, printed instructions and a perfectly designed box.

I imagine this ebay auction may be of some interest to Vectrex collectors. Its an unopened Vectrex still sitting in its box since 1983. The auction is up to 325 US at the time of this post.
The seller had this to say:

This was an amazing find, a friend's Father was a technology collector in the 80's and had this in his garage, UNOPENED! The box shows some wear from over the years. It sat in the same spot for over 20 tears with a small basket on top of it.

I wonder what the winner will do with it, place it on another shelf for another 20 years, or open it and fire that sucker up!
