Nintendo in the Sears Catalog
Heres a nice collection of scans from catalogs and ads from magazines. Includes Atari, CD-i, Nintendo, Sega and TurboGrafx-16 systems. The quality is pretty high so you can actually read how much everything cost when it was new.

Ogre Battle for the Wii
The strategy classic Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen for the Super Nintendo has officially arrived on Virtual Console. The original is available on eBay, but as only 25,000 copies ever made it to North American shores, you're going to be paying a bit more than the 800 points ($8) that it'll run you on the virtual console.

Magic of Scheherzade
The names a mouth full, but hows the game hold up after almost 10 years? I haven't played this one before so the review was an interesting read.
In the start of the game, you will be able to choose between three classes: fighter, saint and magician. While the influence these choices have on the game is not titanic, it will definitely affect the way you play as well as dealing with the bosses that lay in wait for you at the end of each level. I was a fan of the fighter class because I prefer physical strength over magic in most games, but I played the game through using magician class as well as still had fun. It is of note that you can only gain one of the NPCs in level three by choosing saint class, though!

D-Pad Hero for the NES
D-pad Hero is a free NES Rom that introduces Guitar Hero play style to the 8 bit NES engine. Perhaps it will be made into cart form at some point, that would be sweet.

Earthbound on the Wii?
The SNES game Earthbound was released in '95 and has gathered many hardcore fans over the years. Even though its a popular classic it has yet to show on Wiis Virtual Console as a download. One issue is the use of copyrighted material in the original game; something that gave it charm but has also caused alot of legal hangups for having it re-released. Earthboundcentral has a great look at some examples of the problems they had when they were getting it released to an american market the first time around.
