ExplodingRabbit over on the Newgrounds.com flash portal has released a flash based reworking of the original super mario bros. Super Mario Crossover lets you play through the nintendo classic with five new playable 8-bit game characters. Each come with their own unique movement and special attacks.

Did you know Toys"R"Us is going to start letting you trade-in used games for over 25 consoles including the 2600? Perhaps a place to dump those Sega Genesis sport games? Seems like you need the box so that might limit the classic game dumping; but I imagine some rare classics popping up at Toys"R"Us stores nationwide come sept. 13th..How many diapers can I get for a sealed stadium events?

"The video game trade-in program is another way we're providing customers with additional value when they visit our stores," said Bill Lee, Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Toys"R"Us, U.S. "This program is designed to make the exchange process completely hassle-free for customers by accepting games from even the oldest systems, including the original Atari 2600 and 32-bit Sega Genesis."

Beyond helping customers trade games from current systems such as the Wii,
Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable, Toys"R"Us
stores will accept games from almost every gaming system imaginable. Games
from systems such as the Atari 2600, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Xbox,
Nintendo Game Boy, Nintendo 64, Nintendo NES, Intellivision, Sega Genesis can be exchanged.

Customers can participate in the video game trade-in program at Toys"R"Us
stores in the United States as follows:

-- Used video games in their original cases, with the original case
artwork may be brought to a Toys"R"Us Guest Services desk.

-- Games will then be scanned and prices will be offered for individual
titles.

-- Gamers confirm that they want to accept the offer to exchange any, or
all, of the games they brought to the store.

-- Once the transaction is complete, customers receive an activated gift
card equal to the total worth of all games traded.

-- Immediately upon receiving the gift card, customers can purchase any
product from iPods and toys to candy and diapers at any
Toys"R"Us or Babies"R"Us location or online at
Toysrus.com.

No mention if they plan to resell said classic games in stores. Or god forbid recycle them!!!!:0

Classic Gaming on Craiglist

Today we're taking a look at some classic gaming systems and games that have come up on craigslist around the US this past week. Ebay has become a pricing source for many of these sellers and they aren't afraid to ask top dollar for that box of sega genesis carts with some cat pee stains on labels.

Starts by calling a FC3 Yobo RARE, then lists prices for each item but will only sell as a lot for $850 or a PS3 and some cash. Some good games in there though. Dragon Warrior NES 1-4.

I had originally intended to grow my collection of these wonderful games, but my hobby time has been usurped by my rekindled interest in comic books, so alas, I have decided to sell my prized early video games. If only there were more hours in the day!

The seller is kinda right about the bundle thing; being on that blanket I can see wrapping it up into a hobo bindle thing for a quick transaction. Somethings also little off with the whole zapper to system ratio. Some Power Ranger games help keep things interesting. Hey wait a minute is this another sans controller nes?
