Sometimes the older gaming consoles don't mesh to well with the newer tvs, resulting in a picture that's less than satisfactory.  Atari's 2600's are no exception. Ben Heckendorn has recently posted about trying out the Atari AV mod from www.longhornengineer.com. Besides higher video quality you also get a stereo mod in the board to split the audio into left and right channels. Detailed instructions are included so all you need is an Atari and a bit of soldering skill and you should be able to enjoy some sharp retro graphics.

Cave Full of New Atari Games

O'Shea, Ltd decided in the early 90's to buy up nearly 3 million unsold Atari games and has been selling them ever since.
